Job summary

Planet Fitness is hiring an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience while driving a financially successful club. You will lead staff, support front desk and member services, supervise daily activities, maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment, and help achieve monthly and yearly sales and attendance goals.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with potential nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including: answer phones, check members into the system, new member sign-up, and tours.
• Facilitate all member requests, issues and questions.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of facility.
• Assist in ordering of supplies using specific budget based on club requirements.
• Assist in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
• Backup support for any employee who is absent.
