Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC seeks an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and sustain property integrity while aiding leasing teams to maximize renewals. This role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and on-site collaboration with residents and staff.

The position requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Requires strong verbal and written English communication to interact with team, residents and vendors.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus; EPA refrigeration certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Assist in maintenance duties under supervision; perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC tasks.
• Ensure safety compliance with company policies, ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA, and related laws.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacant units.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections and coordinate on-call duties as needed.
