Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC seeks an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold property integrity. The role partners with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, prioritizing safety and policy compliance.

Requirements include at least two years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent with EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and basic hand tools. Domestic travel and some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience or related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
• EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery) certification.
• Must communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Manage system for handling resident service requests and schedule on-call rotation.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies and applicable laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Assist with distribution of flyers and materials.
• Maintain safety materials, inspect property, and correct unsafe conditions.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and makes‑ready status for vacant units.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and related systems daily.
• Handle on-call duties and standby emergency coverage.
