Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and help preserve property condition. You’ll partner with the leasing team to optimize renewals, and ensure safety-first operations.

Responsibilities include handling service requests, preventive maintenance records, and routine equipment upkeep. Flexibility for on-call coverage and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC tasks.
• English communication skills; Spanish would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Assist in maintenance and safety compliance per policies and laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and make-ready statuses.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Assist with inspections and standby on-call coverage as needed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.
