Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold safety and property standards. The role involves assisting with repairs, coordinating service requests, and ensuring all tasks align with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants (recovery, transition, and recycling).
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Manage system for handling resident service requests and schedule on-call rotation.
• Ensure work complies with company policies and applicable laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Distribute flyers and other materials as needed.
• Maintain safety materials and inspect the property for unsafe conditions.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and make-ready status of vacant units.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and related systems.
