Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and protect property integrity. You will work with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, while prioritizing safety and adherence to company policies.

The role requires at least two years in apartment maintenance or a related trade, with EPA certification preferred. Valid driver’s license, basic hand tools, and willingness to travel within metro areas are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA certification related to refrigerants and handling required.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible and manage on-call rotation.
• Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and state/federal laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Assist with material distribution, safety readiness, and record-keeping of preventive maintenance and make-ready status.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools; handle on-site stand-by emergencies as needed.
• Support property readiness for inspections and other duties assigned by the property manager.
