Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Grocery Manager to help guide one of our busiest store teams. You’ll focus on delivering excellent customer service while leading staff, managing the Grocery department, and ensuring product quality and inventory controls.

You’ll collaborate with the Grocery Manager to drive sales, margin, and store standards, while training team members and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Grow with a fast-paced, health-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience. Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours expected
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to take and give direction in a team environment
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff; understand margin reports and weekly sales numbers

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Order and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products and customer service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort store deliveries
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
