Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy choices and lead one of the store’s busiest teams. You’ll support the Grocery Manager in merchandising, ordering, and staff development while ensuring high service, quality, and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of retail management experience, strong communication, and a collaborative attitude. This role offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction.
• Leadership ability to motivate and manage staff and understand reports.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and planning skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and move boxes/ Milk trays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and communication.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; ensure team compliance.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
