Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and customer interaction skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and manage staff amid sales and financial goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills; strong organizational planning.
• Capacity to lift 60 lb milk trays and 50 lb boxes as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervise the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver highest quality products and customer experience.
• Participate in hiring, training, and development of the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort deliveries; ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
• Support a fast-paced environment and drive store performance.
