Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, able to take and give direction in a team.
• Demonstrate leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff and monitor reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality product and the best customer experience
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort through store deliveries
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and train others to follow them
