Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy choices while leading one of the store’s busiest teams.

You will support the Grocery Manager in merchandising, ordering, and inventory controls to drive productivity and profit, while coaching and developing staff. This role requires flexible availability and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff; knowledge of margin and weekly sales goals.
• Must lift up to 60 lbs. milk trays vertically for up to 25 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
