Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help oversee the Grocery department and lead one of the store's busiest teams. You will ensure excellent customer service, manage inventory, and support store profitability.

You will collaborate with the Grocery Manager on planning, scheduling, and training while upholding Sprouts' health and safety standards in a fast-paced fresh-food environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff.
• Detail oriented and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Must lift/move up to 60 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload deliveries and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
