Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring an Assistant General Manager in Baton Rouge, LA. This role supports the General Manager in supervising all operations, staff leadership, and daily business functions to drive a guest-focused, efficient living community.

You will develop staff, manage onboarding, scheduling, resident accounts, and turnover processes while upholding safety, Fair Housing, and company policies. A fast-paced, customer-centric environment offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience working at living communities/property management.
• Proficient in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development and foster a positive, productive team environment.
• Assist with hiring, training, and retaining exceptional team members.
• Ensure onsite staff are trained and compliant with Fair Housing and safety policies.
• Manage property schedule and after-hours on-call shifts.
• Prepare and respond to community needs, notices, and emergency plans.
• Handle resident accounts, billing, and annual turnover processes.
• Ensure curb appeal, facilities upkeep and code compliance.
• Assist in month-end accounting, accounts receivable and collections.
• Direct customer sales initiatives, market surveys and promotional activities.
