Job summary

KidStrong Carlsbad seeks an Assistant General Manager to join as second in command, partnering with the General Manager to foster a learning culture for coaches and families while driving sales performance and reducing member attrition.

The role leads center operations, coaching, and events with a schedule of 4 weekdays plus one weekend shift, in a fast-paced, kid-focused environment that values safety, growth, and community.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience working with kids aged 15 months to 11 years, and comfort speaking with parents/guardians.

Responsibilities

• Understand the center’s KPIs and financials to guide decisions.
• Build relationships with families and provide exceptional customer service.
• Oversee center initiatives: maintenance, training, brand consistency.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and operations.
• Drive sales by scheduling events, camps and parties to maximize profitability.
• Lead and develop staff, onboard new coaches, and manage performance evaluation.
• Coach students with a curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development (walking to ~11 years).
• Record attendance and achievements using KS Coaches App; ensure safety and proper technique.
