Job summary

KidStrong seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead center operations, sales, and coaching initiatives. You will collaborate with the General Manager to drive learning culture, customer service, and business results for families and kids.

Ideal candidates have athletic coaching experience with children, coaching certifications, and a knack for staff development. Role includes coaching hours, event sales, and leadership duties in a fast-paced center environment.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with kids 15 months to 11 years; passion for children required.
• Achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training & Certification team.
• Complete LearnUpon training as required by HQ Training & Certification team.
• Pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus but not required.
• Prior management experience is preferred but not required.
• Practical experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
• Experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Understand the center’s KPIs and financials to inform decisions.
• Build relationships with families to provide exceptional service.
• Oversee center initiatives like maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
• Coordinate schedule changes and communicate via Slack/Email.
• Sell and schedule events (camps, parties) to maximize profitability.
• Foster a coaching culture; mentor staff and ensure training compliance.
• Manage onboarding and development with the General Manager.
• Record data in KS Coaches App (attendance, awards).
• Assistant GM serves as Manager on Duty when GM is off.
