Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead restaurant operations and uphold the brand’s standards. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to drive store performance, manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory, while developing hourly Team Members.

The role emphasizes competency-based leadership and operational excellence, with competitive wages and opportunities to grow within a rapidly expanding brand.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in daily operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and coaching.
• Support scheduling and staffing; address Team Member issues.
• Lead by example in customer service and guest relations.
• Support financial reporting and performance analyses; ensure cash handling compliance.
