Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader in delivering exceptional restaurant operations. You will help manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory while developing hourly Team Members with competency-based leadership.

You will learn to master operational skills, maintain food safety practices, and support financial reporting while upholding CAVA’s values and guest-centric culture.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Proven track record of leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to adapt and develop solutions in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing; address team member issues and conflicts.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing concerns promptly.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and analyzing performance metrics.
• Support with maintaining cash handling procedures and regulatory compliance.
