Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations, model our mission and values, and guide hourly Team Members toward excellence.

You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to plan store actions, forecast labor, manage schedules, control costs, and drive guest satisfaction while upholding high service standards and a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and solve problems.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience through high service standards.
• Lead by example in customer service.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and analyze performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and budget adherence.
• Oversee food safety practices and team training.
• Handle administrative tasks like inventory management.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
• Assist with any additional duties as assigned.
