Job summary

CAVA, Cary, NC, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to translate our mission and values into everyday hospitality. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to set store action plans, monitor financial metrics, and develop hourly Team Members in the restaurant.

This role focuses on staff scheduling, labor management, inventory, food safety, performance coaching, and maintaining exceptional guest service while driving profitability.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgets and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
