Job summary

CAVA in the United States is seeking an Assistant General Manager to bring our mission and values to life in daily restaurant operations. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to set action plans, coach Team Members, and manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory to drive profitability.

You will lead by example in guest service, maintain high standards for quality and cleanliness, and help develop a positive, inclusive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost controls to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing for the restaurant.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance the guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Model excellent customer service and inspire the team to follow suit.
• Assist with financial reporting, performance analysis, and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and compliance with procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and team training on proper procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks like inventory management and records maintenance.
• Support with report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
