Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to translate our mission and values into daily restaurant leadership. You will partner with the General Manager to plan store actions, monitor financial metrics, and develop hourly Team Members in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll manage scheduling, labor, inventory, and cash handling while upholding food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards. A customer‑focused, collaborative leader is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage financial aspects, including budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.
• Willing to work flexibly (including at night and on weekends) and to travel as needed.
• Consistently exhibits a generous and friendly demeanor when engaging with guests.
• Completes tasks and projects within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and coaching.
• Support with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards.
• Lead by example in customer service.
• Assist with financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and cash handling.
• Support food safety practices and team training.
• Perform administrative tasks like inventory management and records.
• Support with report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
• Assist with any additional duties as assigned.
