Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations with a focus on guest experience, profitability, and team development. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to implement store action plans and financial metrics while upholding the brand’s values.

You will learn and master competency-based leadership and operations, including scheduling, forecasting, labor management, and inventory, to drive consistent, high‑quality results.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervision/management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and develop solutions to improve performance.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; travel as needed.
• Generous and friendly demeanor with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA's standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Assist with preparing financial reports, analyze performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
