Job summary

Philz Coffee in San Ramon, CA, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our store leadership team. You will guide daily operations, drive customer experience, and coach a diverse team to deliver our signature service.

This role requires 2–3 years supervisory experience in fast-paced F&B, scheduling, training, and implementing promotions. You’ll balance labor costs with quality, uphold safety standards, and roll out new initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume F&B environment.
• 1–2 years in people programs such as hiring, training and coaching.
• Experience with store-level rollouts of promotions and programs.
• Experience managing scheduling, inventory, payroll, and compliance.
• Strong background in food safety and risk management programs.
• Familiarity with labor and food cost controls.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; scheduling/inventory systems a plus.
• Schedule flexibility to work various days and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, staffing, food costs, customer experience, and team performance.
• Manage food and operations safety standards, audits, and follow-up.
• Ensure store experience aligns with Philz values and standards.
• Respond to customer feedback across channels and improve the store experience.
• Coach and evaluate team members, providing feedback for growth.
• Lead rollout of new initiatives and train your team.
