Job summary

CAVA is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations alongside the General Manager and Area Leader. You will help plan, forecast, and develop hourly Team Members while maintaining profitability and high service standards.

You will learn and apply competency-based leadership and operational skills, with duties spanning scheduling, training, inventory, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel as needed.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including scheduling.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and coaching.
• Support scheduling and staffing, address Team Member issues.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards.
• Lead by example in customer service.
• Assist with financial reporting, sales tracking, and budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Maintain food safety practices and team training.
• Assist with administrative tasks like inventory records.
• Support with report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
