Job summary

CAVA - Mission Valley is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead operations and champion our mission, values, and service standards for guests and Team Members. You will partner with the General Manager to set store action plans, monitor financial results and develop hourly Team Members through coaching and training.

You will support daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and training while upholding food safety and cash-handling procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and develop solutions for performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing with the General Manager.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Uphold guest experience through high service standards and prompt issue resolution.
• Lead by example in customer service and motivate the team to follow suit.
• Support financial aspects including tracking sales and cash handling.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and analyzing performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with cash procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and team training on proper procedures.
• Handle administrative tasks like inventory management and record-keeping.
• Assist in report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
