Job summary

KidStrong Great Bridge in Chesapeake, VA seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the GM in delivering an exceptional experience for kids, families, and staff. You will oversee center operations, manage KPIs, and lead events, trainings, and performance improvements.

You will guide coaches, schedule shifts, drive memberships and camps, and maintain brand standards while fostering a culture of learning and development.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with a passion for working with children.
• Achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification.
• Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ Training & Certification.
• Prior pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus but not required.
• Previous management experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms.
• Experience with systems like ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Understand the center’s KPIs and financials to drive decisions.
• Build relationships with families and ensure exceptional service.
• Oversee center initiatives like maintenance, branding, and training.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance.
• Manage scheduling; typical 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift.
• Sell and schedule events to maximize profitability.
• Lead coaching teams and support staff development.
• Communicate professionally via Slack and Email.
