Job summary

KidStrong Knoxville is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead with the General Manager in driving a culture of learning and delivering strong business results.

The role focuses on center operations, sales, leadership, and coaching, with a schedule that includes evenings and some weekend shifts. You’ll coach staff, manage events, and ensure an exceptional experience for kids and families, while using KidStrong systems for data and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years.
• Achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team.
• Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ Training and Certification team.
• Prior experience in pediatric roles is a plus but not required.
• Previous management experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft tools.
• Familiarity with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Understand center KPIs and financials to guide business decisions.
• Build relationships with KidStrong families and provide exceptional service.
• Oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
• Schedule includes 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift with hours varying by center needs.
• Communicate schedule changes using appropriate platforms.
• Sell and schedule events like camps and parties to maximize profitability.
• Lead and mentor center staff; support onboarding and coaching candidate evaluation.
• Support professional development through LearnUpon.
