Job summary

KidStrong is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in running operations, coaching, and customer experience at our center. You will lead programs for brain, physical, and character development while ensuring daily center performance and profitability.

You will supervise coaches, manage scheduling, and drive growth through events, camps, and memberships. A hands-on leader with strong communication, training, and people skills is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old.
• Passion for working with children.
• Achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team.
• Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ Training and Certification team.
• Prior experience as pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in management is preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms.
• Experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to provide exceptional customer service.
• Oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc.
• Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
• The typical schedule includes 4 weekdays and 1-weekend shift with specific hours dependent on the needs of the center.
• Communicate any Coach schedule changes using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.
• Sell and schedule events such as camps and parties, to maximize center profitability.
• Partner with the General Manager on onboarding, managing, training, and evaluating coaching candidates.
• Manage and support the ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack and Email, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
