Job summary

Intuit is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Privacy & Data Governance to lead data governance strategy across its data-driven products. The role reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Enterprise Privacy and collaborates with Privacy Regulatory Compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure compliant, efficient data flows from inception.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in privacy regulatory and compliance work.
• Expertise translating governance frameworks into practical controls with engineering and product teams.
• Strong knowledge of US state and federal privacy laws and international frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Advise data governance strategy across data-rich products and platforms.
• Collaborate with Privacy Regulatory Compliance to translate requirements into standards, architecture and controls.
• Partner with product, engineering and legal teams to embed governance early in product development.
• Apply privacy-by-design principles to new technologies and data architectures.
• Lead data governance workstreams (mapping, classification, retention) with data platforms and engineering.
• Act as trusted data governance adviser to cross-functional teams for scalable data-driven products.
• Maintain relationships across Product, Engineering, Privacy teams, and Product Counsel to reach alignment on data governance.
