Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Privacy & Data Governance to lead data governance strategy across our data-driven products.

You will partner with our Privacy Regulatory Compliance team and work with product, engineering, and legal leaders to ensure new products and features are built on compliant, well-governed data flows from the ground up. Qualifications

10+ years of relevant legal experience, in-house and/or at a law firm.
Demonstrated depth of expertise in data governance—data classification, lineage, quality, and lifecycle management; translate governance into practical controls.
Strong working knowledge of US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) and familiarity with GDPR, PIPEDA.

Responsibilities

Advise on data governance strategy and controls across data flows and architectures.
Collaborate with Privacy Regulatory Compliance to translate requirements into governance standards and architecture principles.
Work with product, technology, and legal teams to design and implement compliant, well-governed data ecosystems from the ground up.
Lead data governance workstreams (mapping, classification, retention) with engineering and data platform teams.
Build relationships across Product, Engineering, Technology, and Counsel to align governance initiatives.
