Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting across multiple operating companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and support for strategic goals. The candidate should combine deep accounting knowledge with strong leadership and the ability to streamline processes in a modern ERP environment.

You will lead a team of accountants, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive year-end audits and the adoption of new tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple Operating Companies.
• Prepare/review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, etc.
• Reconcile the general ledger accounts per corporate policies.
• Research and explain variances to forecast and budget.
• Coordinate month-end close with cross-functional teams.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
• Lead year-end audit requests from external auditors.
