New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting of the organization across multiple operating companies, ensuring timely, accurate closes and strong financial controls in support of profitability.

The ideal candidate will have deep GAAP knowledge, proven leadership, and experience leveraging ERP systems to streamline accounting processes, with a focus on cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to lead multi‑project priorities under tight timelines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for multiple Operating Companies.
• Prepare/Review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, accruals, etc.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
• Research and explain variances to forecast and budget.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development.
• Ensure accounting procedures conform to GAAP and Corporate Policies.
• Lead year-end audit and respond to external auditor requests.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
