New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee the financial accounting of the organization across multiple operating companies. The role emphasizes accuracy, leadership, and the use of ERP systems to streamline close processes and support robust financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA (preferred), 5–7+ years of accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to perform under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple operating companies.
• Prepare/Review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, and accruals.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per corporate policies.
• Research and explain variances to forecast and budget.
• Coordinate with other functions on close timing and results.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team and with stakeholders.
• Lead year-end audit requests and support external auditors.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
