Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting function with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead month-end close for multiple operating companies, prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and support audits while driving process improvements and ERP system enhancements. Strong leadership and GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred or equivalent certification
• 5–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close of multiple operating companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, and accruals.
• Reconcile general ledgers per corporate policies.
• Explain variances to forecast and budget with management.
• Coordinate month-end close timing with cross-functional teams.
• Lead a team of accountants; provide training and development.
• Support year-end audits and respond to external auditor requests.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
