Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting across multiple operating companies, ensuring timely, accurate close and compliant reporting.

The role leads a team of accountants, partners with cross-functional teams, and drives process improvements, system adoption, and strong governance.

The ideal candidate has a BA in Accounting/Finance, 5–7+ years of accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Expertise in GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for multiple Operating Companies.
• Prepare/Review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, month-end accruals, etc.
• Reconcile the general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Explain variances to forecast and budget with Management.
• Coordinate month-end close timing with other functions and stakeholders.
• Lead a team of accountants, provide training and career development.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
• Lead year-end audit and respond to external auditor requests.
