Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting for multiple operating entities and support strategic decision making.

You will lead a team of accountants, own month-end close, oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany activity, and coordinate with management on variances and audits. Strong GAAP knowledge and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years accounting experience required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple operating companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries (AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, accruals).
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
• Collaborate with management to explain variances to forecast and budget.
• Coordinate month-end close timing with other functions.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development.
• Oversee year-end audit requests from external auditors.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
