Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting across multiple operating companies, driving efficient close processes, accurate reporting, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, GAAP expertise, and an ability to lead a team, support audits, and champion new ERP tools.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred (not required).
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Deep GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple operating companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, assets, inventory, intercompany, accruals, etc.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per corporate policies.
• Explain variances to forecast and budget with management.
• Lead a team of accountants and develop talent.
• Support external year-end audit and auditor requests.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
