Job summary

Avanath is seeking an attentive Community Manager assistant to support daily operations at residential properties in Long Beach, CA. You will handle rent processing, leasing support, and resident relations while guiding staff in the Community Manager’s absence.

The role requires strong communication, bookkeeping, and knowledge of LIHTC and Fair Housing laws, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to residents and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident inquiries and resolve service issues to maintain satisfaction.
• Assist leasing duties, tour prospective residents, and process rents.
• Maintain confidential resident files and enforce lease terms.
• Support property operations in manager’s absence and oversee staff.
• Ensure Fair Housing compliance and coordinate with Compliance.
