Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations at our Oakland property, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, and overseeing staff in the Community Manager’s absence. This role prioritizes professional, resident-focused service and adherence to Fair Housing and LIHTC requirements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role, excellent communication, solid bookkeeping, and familiarity with Yardi Voyager and Windows tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Strong understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Assist with leasing duties, including tours of prospective residents.
• Handle rent collections, postings, deposits, and delinquency procedures.
• Maintain compliance files and support reporting.
• Oversee property operations and staff in Community Manager’s absence.
