Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in daily operations, rent processing, leasing, and marketing. The role emphasizes outstanding resident relations and a professional, results-driven approach.

The incumbent will oversee the community and staff in the Community Manager’s absence, maintain confidential files, process payments, and help ensure compliance with LIHTC and Fair Housing laws.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit program knowledge required.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing laws.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, internet and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all operational duties of the Community Manager.
• Handle rent processing, leasing, marketing.
• Oversee the community and associates in the Community Manager's absence.
• Provide A+ customer service to residents and staff.
• Maintain confidential files for each resident.
• Support monthly projection reporting and inspections.
