Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Grand Prairie, TX to oversee day-to-day housing operations and financial functions under the Community Manager. You will play a vital role in delinquency management, rent collection, and cash flow optimization.

You will supervise onsite staff, ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines, and maintain accurate records. Strong communication and budgeting skills are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the Community Manager.
• Manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow and financial position.
• Supervise property staff; ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
• Post payments and income accurately from applicants, residents, and non-residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor bad debt.
• Maintain records, conduct unit walk-throughs, and handle move-out charges and deposits.
• Ensure staffing, training, coaching, and adherence to company directives.
