Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at the housing community under supervision of the Community Manager. You will help manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow and supervise property staff to ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.

Key duties include posting payments, reconciling receivables, monitoring bad debt, managing leases and marketing plans, and ensuring accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately from all applicants, current residents, and non-current residents.
• Process and reconciling daily all account receivables.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt to include preparation of late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and filing evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; include bill back of utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accurate records.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff.
• Ensure staff compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Education
