Job summary

Asset Living seeks an on-site Community Manager to oversee a housing community in Texas. You will supervise personnel, leasing, maintenance, and financial administration to ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines, while delivering excellent resident service.

You will lead budgeting, marketing, and retention initiatives, coordinate vendor relationships, and manage on-site operations to keep properties well-maintained and financially healthy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred or four years in housing industry; or 1–2 years related experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Schedule staff and assignments, and ensure coverage.
• Ensure staff compliance with policies and training benchmarks.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor expenses.
• Develop marketing plans and leasing strategies to drive occupancy.
• Respond to resident complaints and maintain retention programs.
• Oversee maintenance, vendor management and service requests.
• Monitor safety, conduct property inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate emergency response and on-call activities.
