Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for an on-site role in McAllen. You will oversee daily operations, financial functions, and staff to optimize cash flow and compliance with housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, handling collections, and supporting leasing and marketing efforts to sustain occupancy and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to perform onsite software functions and basic computer tasks.
• Experience in managing property operations and leasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily receivables and monitor cash flow.
• Follow up on bad debt, late notices, evictions, and collections.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges and utilities; manage end-of-month close and reporting.
• Walk units, post move-out charges, and refunds.
• Supervise onsite staff; training and coaching as needed.
• Support leasing, marketing strategies, and resident retention initiatives.
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
