Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in leasing, marketing, and resident relations. The role focuses on maintaining financial records, processing applications, and ensuring smooth property operations.

You will assist with showing units, screening applicants, and managing deposits while coordinating with the team to meet leasing goals and uphold Fair Housing standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
• English proficiency; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain rental level records for the area.
• Present leasing and marketing ideas to residents and prospects.
• Greet prospects and qualify using guest cards and criteria.
• Process applications and deposits per procedures.
• Update availability reports and handle credit checks and approvals.
• Support renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rent payments and forward to Community Manager.
• Prepare lease paperwork and input data into Yardi.
• Communicate with Community Manager on invoices and PO accuracy.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up with residents.
• Maintain resident files and community cleanliness.
• Ensure policy compliance across the community.
