Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at the housing community, reporting to the Community Manager.

The role focuses on delinquency management, rent collection, leasing support, and ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines. Onsite leadership requires staff supervision and coordination across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred or two years in housing industry.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills.
• Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under supervision of Community Manager.
• Manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow and financial position.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
• Post payments and income; reconcile accounts receivable and monitor bad debt.
• Attend property meetings and collaborate on leasing, maintenance, and risk management.
• Support budgeting, revenue goals, and end-of-month closing procedures.
