Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for an on-site role in El Cajon, CA. You will oversee daily operations and financial functions under the Community Manager, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

You will manage leasing, staff development, and resident services while maintaining strong cash flow and records. This on-site leadership position requires attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years housing exp.
• Ability to operate onsite software; basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile payments and income from applicants and residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and issue late notices, evictions filings.
• Support budgeting, revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.
• Conduct unit walk-throughs and post move-out charges.
• Lead strategic leasing and marketing plans.
• Maintain records and prepare month-end closing.
