Job summary

Asset Living in California is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager.

You will play a vital role in delinquency management, rent collection, and overall property performance, acting as the onsite leader to supervise staff and ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules, and fair housing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years experience in the housing industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions under the Community Manager.
• Manage rent collection, accounts receivable, late notices, and evictions processes.
• Supervise staff, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management on site.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and Fair Housing laws.
• Prepare end-of-month close procedures and maintain organized records.
