Job summary

Greystar seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support financial and operational aspects of a 196-unit garden property. You will collect rent, run bank deposits, reconcile records, and use Yardi/OneSite to maintain accurate financial data.

You’ll assist with leasing, respond to resident inquiries, and help enforce lease terms to maximize occupancy and revenue. The role requires 1–3 years in residence life or property management, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years minimum experience in residence life or property management or related customer-service/operations.
• Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations: collect rent, process invoices, and prepare financial reports.
• Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) accurately and maintain data integrity.
• Communicate with residents about balances and delinquencies; enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Review and submit vendor invoices, coordinate with accounting, and manage payments.
• Assist with evictions per policy and legal requirements; process move-outs and deposits.
• Support on-site supervision in manager’s absence and coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Assist in leasing and marketing activities: greet prospects, show available units, collect deposits, and aid with applications.
