Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead departments, drive club performance, and develop talent across merchandising, perishables, or member experience tracks. You will partner with the Club Manager and oversee daily operations, scheduling, and compliance with food safety and GOLD standards.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to train and coach a large team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Strong leadership, accountability, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and OSHA-related practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members for assigned departments.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to meet budget targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management.
• Enforce Customer Experience standards (GAA) and GOLD standards.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness across the club.
